The Accidental Detective 2: In Action is the sequel to the 2015 South Korean action-comedy movie, “The Accidental Detective: The Beginning” – a critical and commercial hit which took KRW15.8 billion at the Korean box office. The movie also recently debuted on top of the South Korean box office, beating the record-breaking Hollywood productions “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” and “Ocean’s 8”.
Directed by Lee Eon-hee, the latest movie continues the story of Sherlock Holmes-fan and comic book storekeeper Kang Dae-man (played by Kwon Sang-woo), and legendary homicide detective Noh Tae-soo (Sung Dong-il), who quit their jobs to open a private detective agency. This time they bring onboard a third member, Mensa genius Yeochi (Lee Kwang-soo), to solve a mysterious new case.
The Accidental Detective 2: In Action opens in Malaysian cinemas on July 12th and will be screened in Korean with Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese subtitles.
