We started this issue with words of guidance from a Proverb 13:3 NIV because it can always be a relevant guide:-

“Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin”

In the editorial we touch on WTM (World Travel Market) of London and its importance to keep tourism destinations visibility and relevant. We also reemphasise our desire to continue to push for what is best for Seychelles  as the question security and public safety is touched on. We talk about the SHTA (Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association) public safety committee under the Chairmanship of local hotelier Christopher Gill of Praslin that successfully helped reduce crime by 10% up to 20% in its last year of operation. We talk about Budget time in Seychelles and appeal the State and local banks to reduced interest rates is now to see development accelerate for Seychelles and the Seychellois People to be at the centre of that development. We also see the Blue Economy and the coming new book “A Layman’s Guide to the Blue Economy” that is being prepared.
