LEADING China operator for 21 years, Wendy Wu Tours, recently partnered with Air China to take a group of NSW Helloworld travel agents on their first trip to China.
The itinerary was created on representing China in different aspects, perfect for a first time visitor. It was a combination of main ‘tick’ cities, Shanghai and Beijing, and the green picturesque cities of Guilin and Yangshuo.
Feedback from the participating agents was extremely positive on all aspects- the country as a destination, Wendy Wu Tours services on the ground and the different cabin categories on Air China. It was encouraging that all agents made note that their perceptions of China were very different to actual reality.
Highlights included visiting The Bund, Yu Gardens and night river cruise on the Huangpu River, in Shanghai. A stunning river cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, the markets in Yangshuo and seeing the spectacular Sanjie Yiu Sound and Light Show held on the Li River.
In Beijing all the must-see highlights were visited including The Forbidden City, The Summer Palace, The Temple of Heaven, Acrobat Show and of course, The Great Wall.
