Oakland Zoo Opens New Restaurant and Gondola

The Oakland Zoo’s new restaurant, Landing Café, features views overlooking the Bay Area through the glass-lined walls of the space and viewing deck. You can access the new restaurant by taking a four-minute ride on the zoo’s new eight passenger gondola, Northern California’s only urban gondola. The restaurant features a locally- sourced, seasonally rotating menu and will serve dishes such as, breaded chicken sandwiches, avocado toast, pizzas and salads. This new addition is the first phase of the Oakland zoo’s California Trail expansion, a new exhibit that will explore California’s history with California native animals. For more information, visit
