The IMF-World Bank Annual Meeting is best described as one of the largest gatherings of financial minds and high-end decision makers. It is a forum where global issues are discussed, ideas conceived and later implemented to shape the future of the world and its economic landscape.

With its comprehensive facilities supported by advanced technology, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali expertly handled specific aspects of this prestigious international event, which included a series of high-profile meetings, seminars and regional briefings.

All 467 guestrooms at the resort were conveniently converted into offices to accommodate the needs of delegates. Meanwhile, BICC was transformed into a state-of-the-art Press Centre for respected national and international media outlets.

A large outdoor environment in front of BICC was also utilized as an Indonesian Pavilion to showcase examples of art, culture and innovation from around the archipelago. Colorful displays, interactive demonstrations and detailed information about emerging tourism destinations all drew attention to Indonesia’s growing economic potential.

The appetites of participants were satisfied during the Annual Meeting with a choice of versatile dining experiences exclusive to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. A notable highlight was an Indonesian Food Festival set up around the main swimming pool overlooking a white sand beach and the Indian Ocean. Culinary extraordinaire, Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, was also on hand at Ikan Restaurant to introduce visitors to the flavors of authentic Indonesian cuisine.
