In 2019 AFTA will continue to focus its marketing efforts on promoting the value that travel agents provide consumers. Leveraging the most effective marketing strategy uncovered in the 2018 consumer research, AFTA will promote the professional services that travel agents provide holiday-goers through the creative lens ‘Travel Agents, experience you can trust’.

As part of this marketing activity, AFTA is proud to once again run the popular 2019 People’s Choice: Travel Agency of the Year campaign.

The campaign rewards ATAS travel agencies who rally the most consumer votes during the campaign period Monday 28 January – Friday 31 May 2019.

Travel agency with the most consumer votes by the completion of the campaign will be crowned the People’s Choice: Retail Travel Agency of the Year at the 2019 National Travel Industry Awards Gala Dinner.

To turbocharge consumer engagement and help agencies rally as many consumer votes as possible, AFTA has expanded the media partnership to include both the Australian Traveller Media and also The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age Traveller.

The prize is also bigger and better. Gold NTIA Sponsor and Prize Partner APT is offering participating consumers the opportunity to win an 11-Day Kimberley Coast Cruise for two people valued at $23,500.
