Qantas Holidays Launch “Fly Free”
In an exciting first for the Australian tourism industry, all passengers who depart on one lucky day of the month(s) will get their flights absolutely free*.
Offering a prize pool of potentially millions of dollars, the unprecedented FLY FREE promotion is destined to be one of the biggest holiday giveaways Australia has ever seen with thousands of Australians set to pocket thousands of dollars in bonus spending money.
General Manager of Qantas Holidays, Michael Londregan said, “The idea for FLY FREE started with recognising that our customers love their holidays and Australians love to have a punt! The team at Qantas Holidays and our travel agent partners can’t wait to fully refund the Qantas airfare for those customers who win. I can’t think of a better feeling on holiday than knowing the airfare is free and the holiday spending budget has been significantly topped up.”
Mr Londregan continues, “All Jetset, Harvey World Travel, Travelscene and Travelworld agencies in Australia are participating in the campaign along with other travel agencies across Australia. We have also received great support from our partner network, and between us over a million dollars will be spent on promoting the offer and by the time the campaign announces the winning date in July there will be millions of dollars in airfares that qualify to fly free.”
Open to all passengers who book their holidays in May and June, the FLY FREE consumer competition will see Qantas Holidays randomly select a date, and anyone flying out that day of each month across May, June, July, August, September or October will have their airfares refunded in full (all classes applicable). To enter, passengers must book a Qantas Holidays package that includes a minimum of one nights accommodation and a Qantas airfare. Passengers must have finalised their bookings between 1 May – 30 June 2012, with travel dates from 1 May – 31 October 2012. An announcement of the lucky date will be made on 5th July 2012.
Agents can also take a punt on lady luck, with 5 million Trip points up for grabs! Every fully paid Qantas Holidays booking made between 1 May – 30 June 2012 that departs on a winning date drawn in FLY FREE, will provide the agent with one entry into a major industry prize draw to win one of 5 prizes of 1,000,000 Trip points each.
