Amongst the guests who participated in the innovative concept dinner were (from left):  Pongsak Pattamasaevi, Marketing and Communications Manager, Montara Hospitality Group; Georges Ciret, Wine Director, Boathouse by Montara; Peter Smith-Bailli, Chaine des Rotisseurs Phuket Chapter; Marie-Laure Fleury, General Manager, Boathouse by Montara; Aman Sachdev, Insaf Company Ltd.; .Dusadee Poolsiri, Global Vineyards Co., Ltd.; Kim Steppe, General Manager, Blue Elephant Phuket; and Santiago Lopez, Director of Food & Beverage, Boathouse by Montara.

The four-course dinner showcased a unique menu creation by the resort’s own Executive Chef Bryan Burger, combining Boathouse’s classic elements and “youthful” specialities; each course paired with traditional and modern wines meticulously selected and introduced to the guests by Wine Director Georges Ciret, a veteran sommelier with over 30 years experience.   Boathouse hoped that the experimental wine dinner allowed guests to develop greater appreciation for the intricacies behind winemaking, and more acute awareness of their own personal preferences.

Boathouse Wine & Grill is a longtime recipient of numerous prestigious Wine Spectator Awards since 1995, and has also been awarded with the Wine Spectator “Best of Award Excellence” every year since 2006.  Its wine cellar comprises over 800 unique labels from more than 17 New and Old World winemaking countries.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Boathouse by Montara has recently been rejuvenated and positioned as a versatile, vivacious 25-year-old person who will “treasure the past and sail into the future” – a fitting reflection of the adventurous wine dinner hosted at Boathouse Wine & Grill.
