Bangkok 2014, New perspectives engage the senses. The palate awakens afresh as the acclaimed Cave de Vignerons Le Cellier du Pic wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France are uncorked at the next exclusive tasting at Plaza Athénée Bangkok, a Royal Méridien’s Glaz Bar on 03 April 2014.

The Reflexions award winning restaurant also rises to the occasion with an irresistible three course menu of Modern French cuisine specially created to complement the wines to perfection.

World-renowned for its fine wines, the northern part of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, spans the Mediterranean coastline from the French border with Spain to the region of Provence. With around 2,800 km2 under vines, it is the single biggest wine-producing region in the world and responsible for more than a third of France’s total wine production.The Reflexions

Of these the wines of Cave de Vignerons Le Cellier du Pic are among the foremost and Wine + Dine New Perspectives presents the pick of the vintages, including: St Hubert Pinot Noir 2011 RW ; St Hubert Grenache Syrah 2011 RW ; St Hubert Languedoc Vermentino Viogner 2011 WW ; St Hubert Chardonnay 2011 WW, and ; Rose domaine houchart 2012.

The evening moves to another level as guests adjourn to the high contemporary French style embrace of The Reflexions where critically acclaimed Chef de Cuisine Daniel Bucher and his passionate team have created a gourmet three-course menu, with two choices per course, each directly inspired by the wines.

Guests can choose between a White Wine Selection of St Hubert, Chardonnay 2011 or a Red Wine Selection of St Hubert, Pinot Noir 2011.

For appetizers, either Pan fried duck egg, black pudding and borage or White asparagus cream soup with capers and chrysanthemum is offered. Main courses are Monkfish and blue mussels in white wine broth with parsley and tomato or Beef-carbonnade, mustard crouton. A fittingly flamboyant finale is provided by either Flavours of pistachio and mulberry or Basque almond gateau, yoghurt sherbet.
