Rail Europe, Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System have announced the winners of their Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar Program who will be participating on the year-end famil in Switzerland from 29 Nov – 5 Dec 2015.
Six GSA consultants and 10 retail agents will join Mark Wettstein, Director of Switzerland Tourism ANZ, and Ingrid Kocijan, Manager Australasia of Rail Europe, on a fully hosted trip to see why Switzerland is becoming increasingly popular among travellers. The 16 lucky participants on this famil include: Josie Hanney from Goldman Travel Corporation; Melissa Blessing from Flight Centre Katoomba; Chris Riou from Newport Travel; Naomi Hill from Qantas Holidays; Maxine Thomas from CIT holidays; Janine Mallon from The Travel Brokers; Kacey Sowman from Go Holidays; Elaine Seuao from Rail Plus NZ; Melissa Healy from Flight Centre West Perth; Ranka Mileusnic from GTS Travel Management; Rhonda Paice from Williamstown Travel & Cruise; Yvette Van Urk from Outdoor Travel; Nina Marchioli from RACT Kingston; Cassandra Zayonce from TravelManagers; and Clement Tringale form Rail Plus Aus.
The group will visit the cities of Basel, Lucerne, Interlaken, Montreux and Zurich, where they will spend the week taking in the magic of the Swiss Christmas markets, tasting the different types of traditional food and drinks and witnessing some centuries’ old traditions of the locals. They will also get the chance to participate in some winter activities on the snowcapped mountains and enjoy the untouched landscape of the country during their scenic train journeys. For a touch of glamour, the group will join 100 other program participants from the UAE, India, Brazil, China and Singapore at a Gala dinner in Lucerne.
Launched on 1 May across Australia and New Zealand, agents who have participated on the Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar Program have also won a series of prizes including 64GB Apple iPads, Victorinox watches and Victorinox luggages.
Agents are reminded that the Swiss Travel Pass provides holders with unlimited access to Switzerland’s extensive public transport network including buses, trains and boats, free access to more than 480 museums around the country; 50% discounts on mountain railways and cable cars; and free travel for children under the age of 16 when travelling with a guardian using the Pass.
Agents are also reminded that this Pass is obtainable via Rail Europe GSAs including Rail Plus, Rail Tickets, CIT Holidays and Infinity Rail in Australia, and Rail Plus and Go Holidays in New Zealand. Terms and conditions apply.
