While the Winter Olympians are set to sizzle on the slopes of Sochi, Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains has unveiled some hot winter holiday packages.

A five night holiday including daily hot breakfast, a two-course dinner at Cuisine and two two-course dinners at Alpine Larder starts from just $1629 for two people.  This Five-Night Winter Saver holiday package also includes a 10% discount off Harro’s Ski Hire, treatments at the Spa & Wellness Centre & all resort activities. unnamed (2)

Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa is located on the border of the Kosciuszko National Park and is just a 15 minute  drive from the ski-fields of Thredbo or a 15 minute ski tube train ride away from Perisher Ski Resort. A complimentary shuttle bus takes guests to the ski tube each day as the station adjoins the property.

Resort General Manager Scott O’Neile said it wasn’t just the convenient location in between two of Australia’s skiing and boarding playgrounds that attracted guests to the resort.  “There is so much to do at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa with an array of free activities like golf, trampolines, tennis, archery and more than 20 kms of mountain bike and walking trails,”

“One of the favourite attractions is the Spa and Wellness Centre which features an array of treatments which draw upon the natural nurturing therapies of the Snowy Mountains,” said Scott.

“Another unique thing to do is a Segway Eco Tours where guests explore the local bush terrain on an environmentally friendly no-emissions personal transporter.  There’s 150 acres of land around Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa and this is an awesome easy way to explore it.”

Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa features two restaurants including Cuisine Restaurant, the only Snowy Mountains restaurant recognised and awarded by the Australian Good Food & Travel Guide as well as the laid back casual dining of the  Alpine Larder.

The accommodation at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa is as diverse as its wide offering of facilities.  The property features more than 100 rooms ranging from lake view apartments to mountain view chalets.
