Construction begins for Hoshino Resorts KAI Beppu

Beppu City in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu is one of the largest hot spring areas in all of Japan.

Hoshino Resorts KAI Beppu commenced construction in June 2019 and is scheduled to open in early 2021. Part of the Hoshino Resorts hot spring brand KAI, which boasts 15 properties across Japan, this facility has been designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma.

Winter Wonders in Aomori

From the beginning of December to March, guests can experience the unique culture of Aomori prefecture at Hoshino Resorts Aomoriya.

A special ritual that banishes the demons of drowsiness and washes impurities into the river and sea is called Neburi Nagashi in the Tohoku region and is said to be the origin of the Aomori Nebuta Festival.

At Hoshino Resorts Aomoriya, guests can enjoy this event by seeing the magnificent nebuta floats and release small lanterns that carry their wishes on the ponds around Ukiyu.
