With Air France, Travel Becomes Child’s Play!

October 18, 2013 Aviation No Comments Email Email

AirfanceCutlery in the shape of aeroplanes, colouring books, pilots’ wings and organic dishes, the 3 million young travellers under the age of 12 who fly on Air France every year can now enjoy fun new features on board.

With Air France, travel becomes child’s play!

“DAD, MY SPOON CAN FLY LIKE A PLANE!”

For children, the Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet has designed modern, colourful and eco-designed tableware. The carefully organized tray includes fun, plane-shaped cutlery and a “cool box” with jam, a chocolate bar, butter and orange juice.

On the menu, Air France offers up to three organic products (with French and European certification) designed to appeal to babies and young children. The youngest passengers receive privileged service and can enjoy their meal before all the other passengers. In this way, parents can enjoy their meal in peace afterwards.

“MUMMY, I’M THE PILOT!”

To entertain younger passengers, there are new games kits (colouring books, bracelets, pilots’ wings etc.) specially designed for children. New games are also given to children in the 5-8 and 9-12 age groups (postcards, passport cases etc.). All these games and services are regularly renewed for the delight of young travellers. For babies and toddlers, Air France offers their parents bibs and cuddly toys during the flight.

To accompany these products and services, all Air France staff, on board and at the airport, are trained by the Company in the expectations and needs of young children. They all provide constant attention to each little traveller to enable them to experience an unforgettable fun-filled travel experience.

EXCLUSIVELY ON THE AIR FRANCE E-SHOPPING WEBSITE, THE ONLY STROLLER YOU CAN TAKE ON BOARD

The Air France “Yoyo” BabyZen stroller is currently the only stroller in the world which is accepted as cabin baggage in the overhead compartments. It has been on sale online on the Air France shopping.airfrance.com website since June 2013.

Children on board Air France flights

Every year, 2.7 million children travel on Air France, including 365,000 unaccompanied minors and 490,000 babies.
