Witness A Spectacular Field Of Orbs In Centennial Park For National Science Week

Experience living, breathing science and art together after dark for a rare night of photography in Centennial Park for our special Field of Orbs event on Saturday 15 August 2015.

Award winning photographer Peter Solness will bring together 101 registered volunteers to spin orbs of light in Belvedere Amphitheatre to celebrate National Science Week and theInternational Year of Light.

This a fantastic and rare opportunity for families to witness and budding to experienced photographers to capture what the naked eye can’t see!

Everyone is welcome to come along and try out their camera skills. Peter Solness himself and camera experts, Tamron, will be on hand for advice and support on the night.

Event details

  • Meeting point: Belvedere Amphitheatre (near Woollahra Gates)
  • Date: Saturday 15 August 2015
  • Time: 5.30-7.00 pm
  • Tickets: Orb spinner tickets are now sold out but all are welcome to attend free of charge to take photos or observe. No ticket is required.
