WL Bistro At Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou At West Lake Invites Guests On A Culinary Tour Of Japan With Special Guest Chef Sawada Kazumi
With its lakeside setting amid the beautiful gardens of Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake, WL Bistro is a celebration of Asian fare for both local residents and Hotel guests.
Not content to simply offer a range of dishes native to Thailand, Singapore, Mongolia and beyond, Executive Chef Tommy Zhu seeks authenticity in his menu, with a modern twist on traditional dishes and an emphasis on top quality seasonal produce.
Now, WL Bistro invites guests on a culinary tour of Japan with an exploration of cuisine characterised by distinct flavours and precise preparation. Joining Chef Tommy for this special promotion is renowned Chef Sawada Kazumi of Kumoi Japanese restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou.
From May 20 to 28, 2015, Chef Sawada will prepare a special Japanese set menu as well as a la carte choices at WL Bistro, including several of his signature dishes. Guests may choose the delicate Futomaki, a sushi rice roll of crab meat, shrimp, mushrooms and cucumber flavoured with sour ginger and a hint of spicy wasabi. Beef lovers will delight in Chef Sawada’s Teppanyaki Beef Sirloin with fried garlic, shiitake mushrooms and asparagus. And everyone will want to try his signature Grilled Black Codfish, carefully salted then chilled in Japanese flavours of white miso, sake and mirin before being oven-grilled on a bamboo skewer and finally served with sour ginger on the side.
Whether enjoying a lively lunch with friends on the sprawling garden terrace or bringing family together for a relaxed dinner inside in the light and cosy atmosphere, this special Japanese menu at WL Bistro will be one to remember as Chef Sawada personally visits tables to meet guests and share his culinary secrets.
WL Bistro is adjacent to the lobby of Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake and is open daily from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm.
