Curator and organiser of the World Business Forum, WOBI (World of Business Ideas), today announces the launch of their WOBI on Family Business events.

Focused squarely on the dynamics that make up family businesses, WOBI on Family Business will explore the intricacies of working with family and how to ensure growth and sustainable leadership – topics that resonate with local family-run businesses through to the likes of Hancock Prospecting and Crown Resorts.

The event will bring expert thought leader Professor John A. Davis to the country for two events across Sydney and Melbourne in November. A globally recognised authority and advisor on family enterprise and wealth, John currently advises family enterprises in more than 70 countries and teaches strategies for family business at MIT Sloan School of Management. John brings a level of understanding to family business that is unmatched.

The full day events will offer a range of sessions that will focus on concepts, trends, case studies, sharing of challenges across participants, and a unique networking experience. John will lead discussions and impart his knowledge across a broad range of topics including how to achieve multigenerational success, the lifecycle of a family business, the importance of governance when dealing with relatives, and why – when properly managed – family businesses have the potential to outperform their competitors.

From the Hancocks / Rineharts to the Pratts to the Packers, family businesses dominate the marketplace, and WOBI on Family Business is a one-stop source for those in business with their nearest and dearest.

WOBI on Family Business is supported by ANZ Private Wealth, Family Business Australia, The CEO Circle, AmCham, and NIBA.
