Woman screams as bus driver flashes snake on plane

egtmedia59A man on a London-bound flight showed a 60-centimetre snake to a fellow passenger, saying he was about to feed the reptile and not to be alarmed.

No sooner had the snake flashed into view, however, than a woman started screaming and panic ensued.

Adam Gubbay, 24, a trainee bus driver from London, bought the baby corn snake on holiday in Israel, Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported. He managed to get his pet through airport security in Tel Aviv and set the reptile free halfway through the flight to give it a drink of water.Corn snake

His actions sent fellow passengers into a panic for their safety, the paper said.

Gubbay related that he had politely advised the passenger sitting next to him about the snake and ensured the man had no problem with it, when “the female passenger to his left got up and started screaming”.

easyJet staff confiscated the snake and the pilot threatened to divert the plane.

Gubbay described the situation as a misunderstanding  and admitted he was lucky not to be prosecuted.

easyJet has been involved in a couple of odd incidents recently. A week ago, an easyJet flight carrying Russian football fans to Manchester for a big match against a local team had to divert to Denmark to eject drunken passengers.

And a few weeks before that, travel plunged to a new low when a bald-headed, middle-aged, burly, tattooed British drunk flew into Manchester Airport on easyJet, stripped all his clothing off on the tarmac, urinated in public view and then challenged the plane’s captain to a naked fist fight before being tasered and arrested by police.
