Woman’s naked in-flight sex act topped a bizarre spate

March 24, 2015 Aviation, Headline News No Comments Email Email

egtmedia59A woman flying to London from Kingston, Jamaica allegedly stripped and “disrupted the flight by performing a solo sex act”, the Jamaica Observer has reported. The incident was one of several bizarre in-flight happenings in recent days.

The 46-year-old woman from south-west London was arrested on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft after her British Airways flight landed at Gatwick Airport, London newspapers said. Cabin crew had called police to meet the flight after the woman allegedly performed a sex act on herself while naked.

British Airways released a terse statement: “We can confirm that police were requested to meet our flight from Kingston.”

A disturbing spate of other airline-related incidents (many colourful, most airborne and quite a few involving alcohol) over the past week included:

  • A vice president at Qatar Airways, Rossen Dimitrov, emailed staff an embarrassing photo of a senior flight attendant lying on her side outside the door of a Qatar Airways staff building in Doha. The woman was apparently found in a “state of incapacity” and Dimitrov sent the email to express his “disappointment” at her behaviour. Other crewmembers are said to have had to carry the woman up to her apartment. Dimitrov sent the email to remind staff that appearing to be drunk in the Gulf state is highly disrespectful, a Qatar Airways spokesman said.
  • A 50-year-old actress allegedly punched a flight attendant and a passenger during a Cebu Pacific Air domestic flight to Mindanao. The flight turned back to Manila so police could remove the actress, Melissa Mendez, after she  refused to move from a seat reserved for another passenger, reports said. Mendez is a well-known name in the Philippines, having starred in more than 50 films.
  • An elderly passenger threatened to blow up a FlyDubai flight from Bahrain to Dubai unless he was offered more alcohol and allowed to move to business class, Dubai Criminal Court heard. The man, 68, from Bahrain, is also said to have tried to lure a female flight attendant into one of the aircraft toilets, while making indecent gestures to indicate his intentions. He says he took medication before flying and can’t remember the incidents.
  • A London court jailed for four months a drunken passenger who pawed a 14-year-old schoolgirl on a New Delhi-London flight and told her he wanted to have sex with her.  The girl was with classmates flying home from an educational trip. The man, Manjit Singh Sidhu, from the English city of Leicester, was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
  • Singapore Airlines diverted a flight from Milan to Singapore because of the misbehaviour of a drunken passenger. Without giving further details, the airline told the Singapore Straits Times flight SQ367 diverted to New Delhi to offload the offending drunkard. The flight then continued to Singapore.
