Video footage emerged yesterday of a female airline passenger throwing an apparent tantrum, lying on the floor kicking and yelling near the cockpit and talking about death. The plane later returned to the gate after the woman tore her clothes off.
The bizarre behaviour happened before take-off on a Frontier Airlines Denver to Portland flight operated by an A319 aircraft.
The New York Daily News quoted a passenger saying the woman was acting weirdly before the meltdown, alternatively laughing and crying.
The woman jumped out of her seat before take-off, witnesses said.
Later the woman stripped all her clothes off, even her socks, though that episode is not shown on the video below.
The clip shows the woman lying in front of the cockpit door, kicking and screaming, apparently hyperventilating and complaining she has no air. A female flight attendant tries to calm her down, but to no effect. The woman turns onto her back and starts thrusting her pelvis in the air. “We’re not crashing?” she says as she rolls around on the floor. The behaviour escalates from there.
