As a part of their extensive work with sustainability, IMEX America has created The Green Team, inviting all attendees and exhibitors to make a commitment to CSR actions such as sharing information on sustainability, recycling, assembling hygiene kits and making a donation for the Evergreen Shade Tree project.

Cathrine Seidel, Senior Project Manager of International Sales at Wonderful Copenhagen – has committed to these challenges and joined The Green Team:

‘’The project is very much in line with the values of our company. We believe that sustainable actions are imperative to the industry. By supporting the Evergreen Shade Tree project we not only support the environment but also people in need,’’ says Cathrine Seidel, Senior Project Manager of International Sales at Wonderful Copenhagen.

Wonderful Copenhagen is a frontrunner in green meetings and is known as The Capital of Sustainable Meetings.

‘’We earned the title Capital of Sustainable Meetings by eco-certifying international mega events and telling the world about it,’’ says Ulrika Mårtensson Head of Communications – Meetings & Incentives, Wonderful Copenhagen.

With the title Capital of sustainable meetings comes an obligation ‘’We cannot save the world just by staging green events in Copenhagen. This is why we have created #BeeSustain, a non-profit, open-source project, which was most recently implemented at the EBBS conference in Verona,’’ says Ulrika Mårtensson.

In earlier years Wonderful Copenhagen has participated in some of IMEX’ sustainability initiatives, amongst others by launching the #BeeSustain campaign at IMEX Frankfurt where it was a part of the IMEX sustainability storytelling tour.
