Sahas, the adventure park at the integrated tourist destination of Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Telangana is a world class attraction to test one’s endurance. Why
It is the first world class adventure park in Southern India and is the newest addition providing personal thrills to the visitor of this vast (2000 acres) Guinness World Record holding Ramoji Film City that provides platforms for actions in movies. It is set to add ‘adventure’ to India’s existing tag of a classic, cultural and historic tourist destination.
Mr Ramoji Rao, Chairman, Ramoji Group, told eGTMedia: “This is one of Asia’s biggest adventure parks. Our aim was to provide the best of adventure with utmost safety. Hence we invited a professional French company of repute to set-it up.”
Xtreme adventure has executed these activities on international standards that make it safe for individuals to test their physical limits. Variety outdoor, adrenaline-inducing activities spread over 25 acres of rocky hills, high altitude plateau, low-lying sloppy meadows and stone-cliffs are also excellent for corporate team building as these adventures foster good bonding.
An adrenaline pumping activity can be alternated with relaxation in one of the many beautifully landscaped theme gardens or by watching an action play, a film making process or many more interactive sessions at the glamorous film city. Bird Park, Butterfly Park and a bonsai park are other new additions at Ramoji Film City that attracts 6 to 7000 visitors a day.
Variety of activities include high rope / harness course, net course, paintball, zorbing, ATV rides, mountain bike, archery/ rifle shooting, bungee ejection and inflatable fun games.
We tried the exhilarating ride on 300 cc all-terrain vehicle (ATV) through the rough patch of track and crossed many challenges along to a thrilling finish. Good quality protective gear provided before the ride made us focus on crossing the obstacles without the worry of accidental injury. There’s an exclusive track for children and ladies.
High rope elevated acrobatic course has multiple loops of various heights and challenge levels. One has to climb, crawl, walk or cross one obstacle to the other through wide ranging (44 in all) obstacles in 4 different levels suspended 8 meters above the ground. The easiest part is to end with a zip line. View of landscaped gardens makes it a beautiful experience.
The Net Courses with moderately elevated acrobatic activities with protective nets were challenge enough for us. Qualified guide Gaurav led us through 20 activities that made us climb, walk, hang and sweat to cross those simple looking but physically challenging obstacles. Children have similar net courses at a lower level.
Qualified and experienced staff at Sahas is certified by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI).
Paintball is a fun group game and arena has a viewing gallery and a fort themed obstacles. Team players (maximum 15 on each side) compete by tagging opponents with capsules propelled from paintball gun. Those with targeted number of paint hits are eliminated.
Zorb roller down length at 220 feet is definitely one of the longest with more scream and silence alternates emerging from gamers. Target shooting zone for archery and rifle shooting has enough arenas for even a novice to try out. Experts can practice undisturbed. Then there are fun games like the inflatable sumo outfit, body Zorb fight, human foos-ball, melt-down and tele-boxing.
Corporate outings can also be planned for a thrilling day with grueling endurance events. Development of coordination, strengthening self confidence, acceptance and respect of safety rules, awareness of one’s own limits and most importantly having fun through this is a great experience.
Individual packages at Sahas Adventure Park are priced from US$ 31.5(INR 2000) and corporate packages are priced from US$ 23.6(INR 1500) onwards.
Sahas is suitable for individuals, groups and family, including children and can handle 1000 enthusiasts in a day. The capacity at a time would vary from activity to activity.
