World-renowned interior designer and TV judge, Juliet Ashworth, is set to unveil CHADA’S exciting new designs for the plush new hotel rooms and lobby at SKYE Suites, due to open in Sydney’s Green Square late this year.

SKYE Suites Green Square is the third luxury serviced apartment hotel by leading Australian developer Crown Group, following the opening of SKYE Suites at Arc by Crown Group on Clarence Street last October and SKYE Suites Parramatta in 2017.

The hotel will form part of the $575 million landmark development Infinity by Crown Group which is catching the eye of passersby on the corner of Bourke Street and Botany Road as it nears completion. The striking 20-storey building, with its unique looped shape, is designed by the visionary Koichi Takada Architects and forms a gateway to Sydney’s newly transforming $13 billion Green Square precinct.

Interior design firm, CHADA, has been dazzling the world with designs for world-class luxury hotels and resorts for more than twenty years, including Hilton Auckland, Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania, Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley, the new Marriott Momi Bay Resort and Spa in Fiji and Intercontinental Dhaka.

As the former editor-in-chief of Vogue and now owner and creative director of CHADA, Ms Ashworth has added her inimitable design flair to the new SKYE Suites Green Square. She has created a mix of rich textured furnishings in a palette of navy, indigo, charcoal and oatmeal with accents of polished brass and hammered metal chrome lampshades. Philip Jeffries signature wallpapers add to the mood with clouds and golden lily motifs.

Ms Ashworth said CHADA had been inspired by the flowing, organic beauty of the building’s form, which folds around a natural oasis of calm, light, and movement.

“Inside this oasis is a sophisticated sanctum of warm materials, careful detailing and subtle lighting,” she said. “The private, residential spaces maximise space through clever planning and flexible, crafted furnishings. Rich veneers, luxurious materials, stunning bespoke furniture and original art have been conceived for a premium lifestyle experience.”

SKYE Suites Green Square offers a luxurious escape only minutes from the city. It will have 90 plush studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments each with Kevin Murphy toiletries, complimentary mini-bar and offering guests the ability to choose individual mattress firmness on each side of the bed. There will also be keyless entry and ‘virtual concierge’ tablets in every suite for guests to access all hotel services. A STAYCAST system will enable guests to stream in-room entertainment from personal devices.

The hotel sits alongside Crown Group’s new Infinity Convention Centre, also set to open later this year, and offers guests direct access to Green Square train station, which is just one stop from the city and a few stops from Sydney airport. The stunning Green Square public library opened last year just next door, where hotel guests can enjoy co-working or studying in the light-filled below-ground atrium. The Infinity by Crown Group development also comprises 326 luxury residential apartments set above a 1180sqm central landscaped plaza, which offers a new lifestyle precinct with more than 20 stores including restaurants, a medical centre and cafes.

Crown Group’s Director of Hotels and Suites, Wayne Taranto said the CHADA team had an enviable reputation for creating luxe, inspiring interiors and guests would be enchanted by the feeling of calm and serenity they had created in the new hotel rooms and lobby.

“This is a really exciting new space for hotel guests, and for the conference and event delegates who will stay here – they will be struck by a sense of serene elegance and sophistication as they enter the building,” he said. “This will be a really immersive escape from Sydney life, but with absolutely everything you need on the doorstep, with an eat street packed with restaurants, cafes and wine bars at ground level, as well as supermarkets and a medical centre, all next to the train station.”

Infinity by Crown Group has already caught the attention of the world, winning several awards before it even opened: the 2014 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW Concept Design award; an Honourable Mention in the American Architecture Awards. It was also named one of the world’s best projects at the 2017 Australia Property Congress.
