Worldhotels Congratulates Caravelle Saigon on its New Leadership Team

unnamed-20Worldhotels is proud to announce two new executive appointments at its affiliate hotel,Caravelle Saigon. Michael Robinson is now the new General Manager of Caravelle Saigon and John Gardner, the former General Manager, takes over from Martyn Davies and now holds the position of General Director of Chains Caravelle Hotel Joint Venture Company Limited. Located in heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the property is situated adjacent to the Saigon Opera House and is truly a landmark hotel in every way.

Formerly the Director of Rooms at the property, the newly appointed General Manager of Caravelle Saigon, Michael Robinson, is no stranger to the world of upscale hotels. Boasting almost a decade’s worth of experience in the industry, this latest move will see him become the youngest General Manager in the Caravelle Saigon’s entire history. On the other hand, John Gardner possesses more than three decades’ worth of experience at the helm of leading hotels within the Asia-Pacific region under his belt. His long career in hospitality has led him to premier hotels in cities as diverse as Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland, Bangkok, Surabaya, Singapore, Jinan, Chongqing, Phnom Penh, Shenzhen and, for the past 10 years, Ho Chi Minh City.

Roland Jegge, Executive Vice President Worldhotels Asia Pacific made a personal trip to the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, to congratulate both John Gardner and Michael Robinson on their newly assumed positions, and also to thank Martyn Davies on his years of hard work and dedication. In celebration of this momentous occasion, Martyn was presented with a “Lifetime Honorary Membership of Worldhotels” that enables full entitlement to friends and family rates and privileges across all ofWorldhotels’ properties around the globe.
