Huka Lodge, New Zealand’s original luxury lodge, has been recognised and celebrated in the Conde Nast Traveller 2018 Readers’ Travel Awards, voted in the top 10 hotels and resorts across Australasia and The South Pacific.

Designed to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across the globe’s most coveted travel experiences, the annual Readers’ Travel Awards have long-been a trademark of Conde Nast Traveller and its well-heeled readers. Voted by over 300,000 readers, the nominations undergo a rigorous rating system to determine the ‘best of the best,’ from exceptional hotels to the ‘best’ country, city, island, ski resort and more.

Kerry Molloy, General Manager, Huka Lodge, says: “It is always humbling and deeply exciting to receive recognition of this scale. Conde Nast Traveller is one of the world’s most respected authorities in travel and the acknowledgment from our guests is a true testament to our dedicated team. The award comes just two months after our recognition as Number 1 Resort Hotel in Australia & New Zealand from Travel + Leisure’s 2018 World’s Best Awards, so it is a wonderful time to celebrate and continue our momentum.”

Located on the banks of the Waikato River and spanning 17 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, Huka Lodge has been consistently recognised as a favourite destination for discerning travellers from every corner of the globe. Founded almost 100 years ago as a modest fishing camp by Irishman Alan Pye, Huka Lodge has merged heritage with innovation to evolve its stunning interiors, outstanding service and gourmet cuisine with Chef Paul Froggatt.

Immersive experiences have evolved to offer guests meaningful connection to the Lodge and location, with all-new experiences announced this week, including the Garden Lovers package and Kai Waho Korero package.

The Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards appear in the October 2018 issue, on sale now, with all winners celebrated online here.
