World’s first night surfing resort launches luxury villas and suites

Komune Resort & Beach Club Bali is situated in Gianyar, on Bali’s east coast. Its first stage, consisting of 33 rooms, opened in late 2012. Now set to open in January 2014 are the second and third stages of this hip resort  which overlook the world class surf reef break of Keramas.

This is a resort for surfers or those who love watching the surf. In a world first, Komune Resort have launched a permanent nigh surfing installation. This means each night guests and visitors to Komune Resort & Beach Club Bali can watch the local Bali Boardriders wrestle with the waves in a true spectacle or if you’re game book a night surf with only five others sharing the waves with you. Night surfing sessions cost $20 per hour and run from 7pm– mid night each night as well as 4 – 6 am for those who like a true early surf.

The newest places to stay in this ubercool destination will be Komune Beach Junior Suites with a launch rate from $140 per night. These ten Junior Suites will be opened in February 2014 along with 23 new rooms.

In 2015 Komune Beach villas will be launched. These will enjoy sweeping ocean views that overlook the Keramas right-hander so you can view night surfing from your private villa or if you’re feeling social visit the party at Komune’s Beach Club to view the action. Each of the twenty four three bedroomed villas have their own private swimming pool, sound system, internet connection, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor showers, BBQ, outdoor lounge, king size beds and a lounge area with surf views.

image007Priced from $175 per night including complimentary airport transfers, this is true luxury at an incredible price.

The resort prides itself on being environmentally friendly with its solar powered bungalows, LED lighting, water harvest and purification, cross flow ventilation, sewer management, river channel and beach management, cleaning and monitoring.

The Coolangatta based resort is part-owned by champion Australian surfer Luke Egan, who said:

“Keramas is a world class wave and the most hifi performance wave in Bali so the action is always electric at Komune Bali.” 

Surf and other activities

Komune Resort and Beach Club specialises in finding surf spots to suit your ability. There is a dedicated tour desk to book transfers to breaks such as Serangan (Turtle Island) great for intermediate surfers, Tanjung Sari, Hyatt Reef and Sanur Reef for more experienced surfers. Komune is walking distance from KFCs, Carparks and Cucukan.
