Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of Damien Larkin as the new Resort Manager of Ramada Resort Phillip Island.
Damien will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the 65-acre Victorian resort, which features two outdoor swimming pools, an indoor lap pool, a children’s pool, two health centres, a gym, three tennis courts, bar and pizzeria.
Over his 13-year hospitality career, Damien has worked his way from being a Night Auditor to a Resort Manager. His most recent role was at Ramada Resort Golden Beach in Queensland, where he proved himself as a very capable Assistant Resort Manager.
In a career working in tourism hotspots in Australia and New Zealand, including Port Douglas and Queenstown, Damien has distinguished himself in customer service, recruitment, budgeting and front-of-house.
Wyndham’s Senior Vice President Resort Operations and Property Development, Matt Taplin, said it will be a delight to have a professional of Damien’s standard to lead Ramada Phillip Island.
“Damien has shown himself to be a very competent and responsible professional who has been able to deliver for guests and his team time and time again,” Mr Taplin said.
“We are confident that Ramada Phillip Island will benefit from Damien’s commitment to improving his guests’ experience, which he has demonstrated across 13 years in the hospitality industry.”
Just a two-hour drive from Melbourne, Ramada Phillip Island is a seaside destination with studios, two and three-bedroom cottages, each with a full kitchen and outdoor deck.
The resort is surrounded by seven kilometres of walking and cycling tracks and is close to the Koala Conservation Centre and the world famous Phillip Island Penguin Parade.
