The tour begins in Naoshima, the island at the centre of the festival’s exhibitions. It is here guests hop aboard their luxury vessel, enjoying a pampered journey across deep-blue seas to explore the lesser-visited isles of Teshima and Inujima.
Guests cycle around Teshima, a compact island where striking abstract forms juxtapose against the natural lines and hues of island and sea. Guided tours then uncover the creative treasures of Teshima Art Museum and Yokoo House, and other troves of world-class art.
Lunch is tailored to guests’ preferences, at either a vibrant izakaya pub or a seaside restaurant, before the yacht sails on to Inujima. There’s guests embark on a walking tour along the island’s spectacular coastlines, where works of art create surreal and immersive scenes. Guided visits of Inujima Seirensho Art Museum and Inujima Art House Project complete this unique luxury experience.
On the return journey, guests enjoy Champagne and canapes as they reflect on the day’s discoveries, sailing between lush mountains over Setouchi’s brilliant blue waters.
