Travel agents can now use compelling 60-second YouTube commercials to share Yukon’s breathtaking winter offerings with interested clients. Launched this month, Tourism Yukon produced the videos to promote the seasonal adventures available for travellers to Canada’s most north-western region.
“We are proud of these captivating compilations, the first in a series which showcase our territory’s stunning winter experiences, as well as Yukon’s incredible national parks, rivers, and wildlife, iconic driving routes and Klondike Gold Rush heritage,” says Jessica Ruffen, Tourism Yukon’s Market Manager Asia Pacific.
“The winter television commercials are airing across Canada and are now available to travel trade and potential visitors via YouTube, while the summer commercials will launch in March 2016.”
The creative concepts embodied in the commercials aim to inspire consumers and entice Australians to choose Yukon as a travel destination, year-round.
“As a unique and compelling area of Canada that’s easily accessible from Western Canada’s gateway cities, Yukon has exciting opportunities for growth from the Australian market,” says Jessica.
“We are excited to offer these videos as an effective tool for travel agents to educate their clients about Yukon’s awe-inspiring natural phenomena, pristine wilderness and fascinating culture.”
Air Canada has daily direct flights from Sydney to Vancouver. From there, it’s a two-hour flight (approximately) to Yukon’s capital city of Whitehorse. Flights are available year-round on Air North, Yukon’s airline, and on Air Canada, as well as on WestJet from May to October.
