With the increasing pressures on charities to raise more funds, YWCA NSW is embracing technology to virtually invite all Australians to participate in the 2015 Mother of all Balls at Sydney Town Hall on 30th May.
Through setting up a Galabid website, YWCA NSW is giving the wider community the chance to see what’s on offer and bid on the incredible items and ‘money can’t buy’ experiences in the Mother of all Auctions.
YWCA NSW CEO Anna Bligh, and Patron Rachel Ward AM, with the help of their Organising Committee have all grounds covered for the 2015 ball, from guests who include Australia’s best in business, politics, celebrity, food, through to the entertainment – but particularly impressive this year are the Auction items.
YWCA NSW has organised an exceptional list of unique experiences such as the opportunity to dine with Rachel Ward, Bryan Brown and Sam Neil, or even spend a day in surgery with Associate Professor Charlie Teo.
There are some incredible travel experiences live on the site, such as business class tickets to a 5 star hotel in New York and a resort the Philippines and an 18 night luxury Gallipoli holiday in Turkey designed personally by Rachel Ward and her husband Bryan Brown. There are also corporate boxes, dinners, concert tickets, overnight stays, fashion and homeware prizes and there is even a year’s supply of Guinness in the auction!
GalaBid is fundraising software that facilitates bidding, donations, purchases, payment for and management of all fundraising activities before and during live events.
The website enables anyone interested to bid on the Mother of all Ball auction items or donate to the organisation online, without having to be a guest at the ball.
YWCA CEO Anna Bligh says “With the amazing support of our sponsors and prize donors we have pulled together an incredible list of auction items for the 2015 Mother of all Balls. With such an array of unique ‘money can’t buy’ experiences we wanted to ensure the auction was not limited to those attending the ball. Through the website it’s so easy for anyone to jump online and bid on these fabulous items and experiences and support a brilliant cause!”
