Chennai 4 Star Hotel Welcomes New Director of Sales
Courtyard by Marriott, Chennai, is pleased to announce the addition of a new team member. Mr. Rejin Thomas joins the business hotel in Chennai as the new Director of Sales.
Mr. Rejin Thomas joins the Chennai 4 star hotel, Courtyard Chennai as the new Director of Sales.
Rejin Thomas is an industry expert with a vast experience in the hospitality industry. Based out of Kerala, he completed his graduation from the Kerala Agriculture University and his post graduation (MBA) in Tourism Management from IITTM Gwalior. On completion of his degree, he worked as a trade fair consultant with Orbit Tours & Trade Fairs.
In the hospitality industry, he started his career with The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts as a Sales Account Manager and as the Associate Head of Sales at the Hyderabad Regional Office. He was a part of the group for 5 years. Following this, he transferred to the Marriott team and had a successful stretch as the Director of Sales for Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre / Courtyard by Marriott, Hyderabad.
He replaces Mr. Ashish Rajput who was the Chennai 4 star hotel’s Director of Sales for the past year. During his tenure he was a constant source of encouragement and motivation to his team. He was a staunch believer in the Marriott culture and he believed in the company’s core value of ‘Spirit to Serve.’ His contribution to the Chennai property has been immense and he is expected to continue the same in his next tenure.
As the Director of Sales at the Anna Salai hotel, Mr. Rejin Thomas will be responsible for revenue generation for the hotel, be in charge of the rooms and banquets and also take care of the reservation covers for the day. He is an ardent weekend chef; he loves to experiment in his kitchen. He considers cooking to be a huge stress buster and enjoys handling the range on weekends. He enjoys travelling to various destinations and strongly believes that there is always something new to learn in every destination he travels.
