New General Manager for Visitoz
After nearly 19 years running Visitoz, Joanna and Dan Burnet are stepping down from the day to day running of the business to focus on the marketing of the organisation.
“It’s a great challenge to be given the trust to manage and continue the development of Visitoz” said John Orning newly appointed GM, “and it’s an opportunity to work with happy people who, like us, are trying something new” he continues.
John Orning and his wife Maria and two sons Max (6) and Leo (4) have recently moved from Sweden to Australia. After several holiday visits here over the years the family decided to move Downunder and start a new life. They are now living at Springbrook Farm and working with Joanna and Dan Burnet, the founders and owners of Visitoz. John has a long history of hospitality and management work; the last 10 years as a General Manager at the Best Western Grand Hotel in Halmstad in Sweden.
In his spare time he likes to be in the countryside so this will be a good combination. Max has already decided that Brandy the pony is a good thing and Leo likes the motorbikes on the farm.
Visitoz helps young people with a sense of adventure and Working Holiday Visas (or other Visas allowing work), to have employment on the land or in rural hospitality with a short introductory training course and the guarantee of well paid work and administrative support for the duration of their visa.
