Summer Fun And Sun At The New Palace Of Asia

June 22, 2012 Attraction No Comments Print Print Email Email

It’s summertime, that season when sunny weather and blue water make people want to grab a swimsuit and head for an idyllic tropical getaway … the kind that lies just a short trip away at Galaxy Macau™.

Home of the Grand Resort Deck, with its white sand beach and the world’s largest skytop wave pool, Galaxy Macau is your one-stop destination for a convenient summer holiday featuring fabulous amenities, exciting entertainment, delectable cuisine and luxurious accommodation … all presented with famous “World Class, Asian Heart” service.

Palatial Playtime

This summer, Galaxy Macau is introducing two special new attractions for young hotel guests: “Kidz Island” and “The Video Arcade at Galaxy Macau”. Kidz Island is a spacious indoor kids club with innovative, educational and fun activities for children of all ages. Toddlers will enjoy the padded playground with colorful merry-go-rounds and a balloon pool, while younger children can be creative in the dress-up room and arts & crafts area. Quality international toys and games are also available for purchase. Children aged between 2 to 12 years of age are welcome (kids 5 years old or below must be accompanied by adults).

“The Video Arcade at Galaxy Macau” offers young adults and the young-at-heart an indoor game zone with a wide range of arcade favorites including Time Crisis 4, Guitar Freaks and Gashaan; PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 consoles with over 20 selections of the latest games, plus a Kinect screen; PCs loaded with games and access to social media; and a motion-sensing interactive screen with games. It’s open to kids 8 years old and up.

Life’s a Beach

People come from far and wide to spend a memorable weekend on Galaxy Macau’s spectacular Grand Resort Deck, an urban oasis that brings the Southeast Asian-style beach holiday to the city. This year it’s better than ever with activities that are sure to keep the whole family busy.

Kids will love playing with remote control boats and creating paper boat origami at the Japanese Garden; taking T-shirt coloring and towel-folding classes in the Garden Pavilion; and doing kids’ golf and bouncy castles on the Garden Lawn. Aspiring master chefs won’t want to miss the “Kids Fun Kitchen” in the Garden Pavilion. For those above 1m tall, “Boogie Time” high waves roll in twice daily for a body-boarding good time, while those who don’t quite make the cut will have a blast on the paddle boats in the Butterfly Garden.

Meanwhile, Mom and Dad won’t want to miss the daily yoga and fitness classes at the Health Club, or tai chi on the beach every Saturday and Sunday. Beach treasure hunts and hula competitions take place every other day on the beach, and an entertaining Hula Freestyle dance, adapted from the Hawaiian hula style, takes place by the Wave Pool every day at 4:30. At sunset, get the family together by the Wave Pool for the Light and Fire Dance Show, featuring acrobatics and dynamically patterned fire elements with LED effects, to cap a fun-filled day.
