Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort Supporting Children’s Education
Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort hosted and supported, “A Classical Evening”, a charity event in favor to promote the reestablishment of the country’s educational system.
Mr. Mark Damisch made us the honor to stop in Siem Reap while on his world tour and performed a 90-minute concert in the cozy 
lobby bar of the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra.
The lobby bar lounge was crowded by the time 16 kids from the Spitler School had beautifully interpreted with their heart and soul children song’s, causing the crowd to start singing with them. Around 7.30pm, Mr. Damisch sat behind the piano, and started to interpret works from Claude Debussy, Aaron Copland, and Frederik Chopin. Everybody was transported by the enchanting melody and the beautiful voice of his daughter. Funds collected at the entrance and a part of the food & beverage revenue sold that night were donated to The Spitler School Foundation.
“When Mr. Latt came to me a few months ago with his proposal, we immediately said yes” said Mr. Ducry, General Manager. “Welcoming Mr. Damisch was a great honor as he is travelling and performing around the world for charitable causes. It was a great occasion to gather with people and share a beautiful musical moment together. It aligned perfectly with our vision of supporting local communities and promoting art & culture.”
