Chuck Hahn has been a major player in the Australian, New Zealand and American beer brewing scene for over 30 years. Chuck’s brewing pedigree is impeccable. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and worked with the American giant Coors for 10 years prior to being headhunted by Sydney’s Tooth Breweries, where oversaw the production of the then most sophisticated brewery in the southern hemisphere before heading to New Zealand with Lion Breweries to brew Steinlager. He is most famous for the establishment of the Hahn Brewery, which was Australia’s largest microbrewery, before becoming part of the Lion-Nathan Group, where Chuck is the Chief Brewer.
When he is not brewing beer, one of Chuck’s other passions is snow skiing, so the locally brewed Kosciuszko Pale Ale from Jindabyne is one of his pet projects as it gets him combine two of the things he loves most. The beer is made under the banner of the Kosciuszko Brewing Company which is the Snowy Mountain’s first brewery. Kosciuszko Pal Ale features a pleasant maltiness with a refreshing fruity hop finish and has been brewed for enjoyment after a hard day of skiing, hiking, fishing or just relaxing in the mountains. The beer will be showcased with the first-course canapés at the dinner.
