Peppers Gourmet Food Trail treats guests to a taste of the Southern Highlands

Peppers Retreats in the Southern Highlands treated guests to a unique immersion into their ‘Gourmet Food Trail’ of fine produce and cool climate wines over the weekend (17 and 18 August).

Peppers Manor House and Peppers Craigieburn guests were given the opportunity to not only taste the Southern Highland’s finest seasonal produce, but to really experience the journey of the food, from the paddock to the plate with a ‘Evening of Grazing Delights’ with local producers at Peppers Craigieburnon Friday evening, a food trail tour of local farms on Saturday and a five-course degustation dinner, matched with wines by special guest host Nick Stock*, at Peppers Manor House on Saturday evening.

Guests wandered from stall to stall grazing on local delights and sampling the fine fare from Executive Chefs Twan Wyers of Peppers Manor House and Warrick Brook of Peppers Craigieburn.

Guests on Saturday’s food trail tour visited the gorgeous Montrose Berry farm.

Executive Chefs Twan Wyers of Peppers Manor House and Warrick Brook of Peppers Craigieburn prepared a sumptuous five-course menu with an emphasis on winter vegetables for Saturday evening’s ‘In Season’ degustation dinner at Peppers Manor House.

The next stop for the ‘Peppers Gourmet Food Trail’ is Peppers Coral Coast Resort at Airlie Beach where guests will be treated to a taste of the Whitsundays at the ‘Eat Love Cook’ event on 14 and 15 September.
