Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra’s Sportsclub Competes In Asian Bodybuilding Championships
Mr. Sopheak Sok has successfully qualified and been chosen to represent Cambodia in the 45th annual Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships.
The competition will take place in Bangkok in the Thai Japan Friendship Stadium from 2nd – 8th October 2011. The competition has been extended by two days this year, which comes as a result of the success of previous competitions, and consequently an increased interest in the event.
Mr. Sopheak, also known as ‘Polo’, is well known in body building circles, with several heavy merits on his record. His biggest triumph came in 2006 when he secured the gold medal in the Thailand Bodybuilding Competition held in Pattaya.
At the moment Mr Sopheak resides in Phnom Penh while working for the Phokeethra Sports Club. In his daily work he passes on his expertise in health & fitness to a highly diverse clientele. These include health conscious business and leisure travelers staying at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, as well as local residents that are members of the sports club.
Other highlights of ‘Polo’s’ track record includes being runner up in Mr Cambodia bodybuilding Competition in 2005 and two 4th places in the Asian Bodybuilding Championships in Tehran and Hong Kong, held in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Naturally ‘Polo’ is returning to Thailand in October this year with the aim of replicating the victory in Pattaya 5 years ago.
