Opening on 20 October, The Talent Store at Fidenza Village will showcase the work of twenty five world-class, international, emerging designers, in a unique concept boutique.
A preview was held at Palazzo Morando, Milan, was on 23 September, attended by VIP guests, celebrities and opinion formers from the world of fashion including Anna Wintour, Franca Sozzani, Mario Borselli, Francesca and Antonio Versace, Eva Cavalli, Cesare Paciotti, Elio Fiorucci, Silvia Damiani, Marta and Matteo Marzotto, Alberta Ferretti and Silvia Venturini Fendi.
Fourteen of the 25 ‘young talents’ revealed their new collections to the Italian public for the first time among whom were Simone Rocha, Eudon Choi, Elliot Atkinson, Michael Sontag and Camilla Skovgaard.
From all corners of the world, the up-and-coming designers were selected by the ‘Vogue Talents’ programme, a Vogue Italia initiative to promote promising young designers. An exhibition of a selection of their work was opened to the public from 23 to 26 September at Palazzo Morando. The full section of the avant-garde collections will be available for viewing exclusively at The Talent Store in Fidenza Village, from 20th October.
“The Talent Store opening represents an important project for Fidenza Village,” says Desirée Bollier, CEO of Value Retail. “We have the passion and the desire to be pioneers in the exploration of innovative ways to “live fashion”. Together with Franca Sozzani, Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia, Fidenza Village has committed itself to investing in fashion for tomorrow, supporting and collaborating with the most promising, emerging talents: an important legacy for the future of creativity and of fashion.”
As a key addition to Fidenza Village, The Talent Store will be a new space, dedicated to showcasing the work of the selected 25 young talents, revealing new trends in fashion design. Home to a roll-call of over 100 Italian and international fashion brands including Armani, Valentino, Versace, Missoni, Marni, Trussardi Jeans and Frette, the addition of The Talent Store places Fidenza Village at the centre of new trends in fashion design, a setting for future events that promote and stimulate interest in the creative talent of tomorrow.
“Believe in young talents, support and help them to achieve their dream is one of the missions of Vogue Italia” states Franca Sozzani, Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia. “The magazine, in its DNA, has innovation and research priorities that make this mission a daily project. Fidenza Village shares the same values and works together with us with great enthusiasm to promote the best fashion international talents”.
The Talent Store follows a long tradition of events and rare boutique openings in Fidenza Village, created to promote the work of designers from around the world and offering visitors a refreshed selection of brands and new experiences each time they visit. In 2010 Fidenza Village opened a temporary boutique in support of Convivio, selling ready-to-wear and accessories donated by some of Italy’s leading fashion houses and notable celebrities to raise funds for the charity ANLAIDS and in May 2011, Elizabeth Hurley selected Fidenza Village as the location for her Beach Hut boutique, her exclusive retail site in Italy.
The Talents Store at Fidenza Village opens to the public on the 20 October 2011.
