Travel Counsellors has announced the integration of attraction ticket retailer DoSomethingDifferent into its in-house online dynamic packaging system Phenix, making the product available globally to all of its agents through the online system.
The company’s 1,200 Travel Counsellors worldwide now have access to the whole range of experiences and attractions available, with the retailer previously only working with agents throughout the UK & Ireland.
Commercial Director Kirsten Hughes comments; “This is an exciting proposition for our Travel Counsellors. We have always provided DoSomethingDifferent’s fantastic products to our agents but the integration into our own system means that we are able to take these products to our Travel Counsellors in our overseas operations electronically and totally seamlessly, strengthening our global presence and buying power whilst giving them a much wider and more accessible product range to offer to their customers. We are constantly working to improve and develop Phenix to cater to all our Travel Counsellors’ needs and help them build and protect their businesses in an ever-changing industry, making the system content rich and enabling them to create a quality and bespoke experience for the customer.”
The company has recently created a host of new search functions for agents within the Phenix system, alongside even more content and product information. This includes accommodation searches which allow Travel Counsellors to search for products based on the personal agent feedback given. Both agents and their customers are also asked to submit rating reviews of properties after travel and this is another search option available within the system. The new search options give the agent much more extensive and varied information about the properties and destinations, including online destination guides, videos, downloadable fact sheets plus weather and climate information. The latest attraction function means the company’s Travel Counsellors are able to filter experiences on name, price and category, with the company also working with Hotelbeds to provide tickets and excursion products.
