TravelManagers’ Qantas Holidays’ Global Achievers
TravelManagers has two personal travel managers who have qualified for the prestigious Qantas Holidays Achievers Program for 2010.
Debbie Bean from Tarneit in Victoria and Chris Dobson from Geraldton in Western Australia were each named for the first time. They were the only home-based consultant of the 150 Australia-wide Global Achievers that qualified for 2010.
They follow in the footsteps of personal travel managers Doug Harman from Dianella in Western Australia, Grace Lech from Marrickville and Michelle Thomas from Norah Head both from New South Wales who are all past Global Achievers.
Ms Bean says it was one of her objectives this year to be accepted into the programme.
“The Qantas Holidays’ Global Achievers Program is one of the most sought after industry incentive program for travel consultants. I feel so excited and proud to have qualified.”
Ms Dobson believes the program has huge advantages for her as a personal travel manager.
“I pride myself on my efficiency and close contact with my clients, however the information and service you receive from Qantas Holidays just make things so much easier and faster, ensuring more effective use of my time and I am told this even improves when you’re a Global Achiever.”
TravelManagers’ executive general manager, Ms Scotney says the achievement is significant for both personal travel managers.
“They have done well and join three other colleagues from TravelManagers who we are also very proud of. This sort of award recognises their commitment and experience which averages 15 years across our personal travel managers.”
Ms Scotney says that overall TravelManagers total sales of Qantas and Viva Holidays product increased by 94 percent compared to the previous 12 months and much of this she puts down to their personal travel managers strong relationships with Qantas Holidays.
“We have a very strong partnership with Qantas Holidays both as a group and as individuals. A great example of this is the fact we currently have two exclusive incentive trips on offer with Qantas Holidays for our personal travel managers to experience North Queensland and Hawaii.”
Ms Scotney says TravelManagers places huge importance on their partner supplier relationships.
“As far as we are concerned they are critical. We want long-term trusted relationships and we recognise this involves giving as well as receiving.”
Ms Scotney says examples include:
- Enhanced profile through access to banner adverting on TravelManagers’ intranet “The Oracle”.
- Consumer advertising via quarterly issues of TravelManagers’ “Your Personal TRAVEL CATALOGUE.
- Marketing of product in fortnightly “Personally Yours” eNewsletter to PTMs client data bases.
- Participation in TravelManagers’ fortnightly webinar training.
- Access to TravelManagers’ automated ‘Supplier Update Distribution System’ to “directly” alert personal travel managers on consumer initiatives and consultant incentives.
- Publication of dedicated supplier page on “The Oracle” intranet delivering essential information “direct” to each TravelManagers personal travel manager.
- Priority identification of partner suppliers as part of a comprehensive destination database.
- Opportunity to participate in a “networking forum” at annual TravelManagers’ National Conference, twice yearly Regional Meetings, periodic State supplier updates and regularly intra-state cluster meetings organised by the TravelManagers’ Business Partnership Managers in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales.
Ms Scotney says suppliers love the contact they have across TravelManagers.
“It is something we receive comments on a lot. We believe in building the relationships through our organisation so that it’s not only with our head office but with our business partnership managers based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney and directly with our personal travel managers.”
