Hotelbeds Celebrates a Decade of Growth at Pow Wow
Hotelbeds, the international online accommodation wholesaler, will continue to celebrate its decade of growth at Pow Wow from 21-25 April 2012.
The international anniversary campaign which began in World Travel Market in London in November 2011 has been marking Hotelbeds 10 year anniversary and itstransformation from a local to a global business.
From its Spanish roots, Hotelbeds has built a market leadership position with a solid international strategy. The business has delivered double-digit growth every year for a decade and in 2011 reported total transaction values of $1.6 billion.
Hotelbeds works with hotel chains and independent hotels to sell accommodation in 45,000 hotels in 147 countries. It provides this accommodation to 9 million travel providers, including airlines, tour operators and travel agencies. Hotelbeds services its clients locally with teams of experienced sales managers in 132 offices worldwide.
Since 2004, Hotelbeds has developed a strong foothold in the Americas building its presence and customer and supplier base in the US, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil. It is a fast growing region for the company and one that it plans to invest in and expand in further.
Hotelbeds has lead the way in attracting international markets to North America. For 2012 the top 5 countries bringing customers into North America are UK & Ireland, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and Germany with the fastest growing regions being South America and Asia. The best-selling destinations are Orlando, New York, Miami, Las Vegas and the Hawaiian Islands. In the United States Hotelbeds client base includes the vacation arms of leading airlines such as American Airlines, Southwest and Jetblue, major cruise lines and specialised operators.
As part of its 10 year anniversary celebrations Hotelbeds will be hosting an exclusive party for its top 300 hotel suppliers in the United States at Pow Wow.
