Amadeus and Jetset Travel World Group (JTG) celebrate success with technology change

Senior executives from the Jetset Travel World Group (JTG) and their counterparts from Amadeus IT Pacific celebrated the successful six month technology migration of the JTG subsidiaries, QBT and JTG’s wholesale division.

The migration moves the companies’ technology from a Qantas airline hosted environment to an independent travel agency environment on the Amadeus platform.

JTG’s long-term agreement with Amadeus is based on the company’s ability to deliver a number of sophisticated solutions to QBT’s corporate and government customers including:

  • Complete integration of the front, mid and back office system through the Amadeus Sales Management Solution;
  • Superior online capabilities with Amadeus e-Travel Management, that integrates with the Amadeus  mid and back office system
  • Fully customisable customer reports and;
  • New automated processes enabling increased productivity for consultants.

At the celebratory dinner in central Sydney, Peter Lacaze,Chief Executive Officer of JTG and David Brett, President of Amadeus Asia Pacificcommented that they were thrilled to formally acknowledge the successful level of cooperation between the two organisations.

David Hughes, General Manager QBT, said, “We are delighted that the local Amadeus team were able to work so closely with the QBT team to make new products and features available for both the online tool and QBT’s team of consultants around Australia. This allows QBT to grow its customer base and increase operational efficiencies. The optimisation of our business process is strengthening our position in the marketplace.”

Sari Vahakoski, Managing Director for Amadeus Australia and New Zealand added, “Both teams have been working in synergy together and to ensure that the migration process was effortless and easy for both parties. We will continue to ensure that we deliver the latest technology, knowledge and support to JTG on an ongoing basis.”
