Tap Dance Extravaganza Rings in New Year at Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah
Welcoming 2012 with a big bang, the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah hosted a spectacular New Year’s Eve gala for over 550 people on the great lawn, serving up a tap extravaganza featuring internationally acclaimed Angelo Borer and The Crazy Feet Company.
Guests enjoyed an al fresco gala buffet followed by a lively performance by the veteran tap-dancer – the perfect start to the New Year.
Well-known through Europe for exceptional choreography and the upbeat verve of the his shows, Angelo Borer opened a
tap dancing school in Switzerland in 1984, performing throughout Europe, in Egypt and Tunisia, and later in Dubai, as well as appearing on many television shows.
The audience at the Coral Beach Resort enjoyed the repertoire of folk, classical and Broadway tunes, as well as the showpiece dances that brought them to their feet in appreciation.
According to Jean-Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Northern Emirates, Coral Hotels & Resorts, Angelo and his troupe provided a suitably celebratory performance for the occasion: “We wanted to provide a festive night with a difference, and this certainly was it – a performance enjoyed by young and old alike, and across all cultural divides,” he said.
“In addition to the exceptional dance skills and the exquisite timing of the choreography, the sheer exuberance of the performers was communicated to the audience and provided an evening to remember.”
