New training program to create Rail Experts and French Specialists
Rail Plus is joining forces with French Travel Connection and Atout France to give its exclusive Rail Experts training course a distinctly Gallic flavour in 2012.
A total of 35 travel agents will be invited to take part in the newly-renamed ‘Rail Expert and French Specialist Program’, with this year’s top graduates competing to take part in an unforgettable trip to France.
This year’s Dux will fly with a partner to Europe and travel across the Continent using two 15-day Eurail Global Passes and two Eurostar tickets.
The next four top-scoring graduates will receive a place on an exclusive French familiarisation tour, where they will explore some of the country’s most alluring tourist attractions and experience some of the world’s best (and fastest) trains.
The top five will also receive free advertising in their local newspaper promoting their new status as a ‘Rail Expert and French Specialist’.
To be in the running to win a place in the 2012 ‘Rail & France Ambassadors’ program, travel agents must simply say in 500 words or less why they should be given the opportunity to become a ‘Rail Expert’ and a ‘French Specialist’.
All submissions should be sent to Jessica Halliday – jhalliday@railplus.com.au – by April 19.
The 35 consultants chosen to take part this year (based on the quality of their written submissions) will each undertake a total of eight training modules (one per week). To complete each module they will then answer a total of 20 questions testing their knowledge.
Three of the modules will be designed by French Travel Connection and one by Atout France, with Rail Plus creating the remaining four.
All graduates will receive a Eurail Global Pass, a certificate, and personalised ‘Rail Expert and French Specialist’ gift, as well as an invitation to a graduation party in their state.
Rail Plus National Sales & Marketing Manager Greg McCallum said the addition of French Travel Connection and Atout France further enhanced one of the travel industry’s most respected specialist training programs.
“For the first time ever, this year’s graduates will be able to promote themselves as experts in both rail and France, providing them with the skills and knowledge to increase sales and gain a genuine competitive advantage over rivals,” said McCallum.
