Largest GPS audio guide in the World: 50.000.000 free tracks
Moscow. Toozla LLC, the developer of mobile GPS-guides, added two big sources of information to it’s system – Wikimapia and Google Places. Toozla information base is now expanded to nearly 50 million geo-linked stories for the whole world.
Location Based Service Toozla provides direct access to noosphere, the “sphere of human thought”, according to the ideas of Vladimir Vernadsky and Teilhard de Chardin. More than 80 years ago they dreamed about and Toozla finally makes this a reality: five mobile platforms and 16 languages with the largest ever audio database is available to anyone for free.
Two years ago Toozla has started with geo-linked Wikipedia articles, received more, than 2 mln stories. Partners of the project also make valuable input, creating their own well-developed professional audio guides using special web tool.
Alesya Chichinkina, marketing director of Toozla, said “Wide information base of objects worldwide is a priority for our team. We would like to provide to our users at least minimum information about any object in any city. Right now, the user receives audio stories almost everywhere. Simultaneously, Google Places delivers information about such objects like restaurants, bars, stores or banks”.
Wikimapia – independent project connecting mapping and wiki technology. Founded by Alexander Koryakin and Evgeny Savelyev in 2006. It’s target is to describe all geographical objects on the Earth.
Google Places - Google’s project allowing companies to place information about their business onto Google Maps.
