Zip World Caverns, a thrilling underground adventure playground in Snowdonia opens to the public this week.

Zip World Caverns, Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Snowdonia by Zip World

The huge slate caverns big enough to stack 75 double deckers in, offers daring visitors the chance to experience an unique adventure through a series of 200 year old mine chambers on a number of zip lines, rope bridges, balance beams, tunnels and breath-taking stretches of via ferrata – a slightly less terrifying description of a cavern wall mounted steel cable walkway! The underground adventure is suitable for adults and children over 10 and lasting for up to three hours.

The subterranean zip line course is the latest addition to a collection of adrenaline based attractions in North Wales. Zip World‘s above ground offerings include a 70mph zip line called Velocity and a 4 person zip zone known as Titan. Its other underground attraction,Bounce Below, is a multi level trampoline experience in a different section of the same slate caverns.

Zip World Caverns opens on Friday 22 May 2015 at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, near Blaenau Ffestiniog in Snowdonia and tickets cost £50 per person.
