zuma first opened its doors in London in 2002 and has now become a favourite destination in numerous cities throughout the world.  Its popularity in Hong Kong has led to this bold new bar, celebrating an ever-evolving cocktail list from expert mixologists and entertainment by world-class DJs.

The new zuma bar has been styled by renowned interior designer, Noriyoshi Muramatsu of Studio Glitt, who has designed all of the zuma venues worldwide from London, Dubai and Bangkok, to Miami and Istanbul. Muramatsu aims to provide a glamorous new nightspot for fashionable party lovers. Luminous walls and light effects will contrast against dark-toned wood and luxurious warm leather seating at the destination venue located on level six of The Landmark.

An “interactive” DJ booth in the middle of the bar is the centerpiece of the stunning new nightspot, featuring a state-of-the-art sound system perfect for the world’s most well-known DJs.  Designer Muramatsu comments on Hong Kong’s new zuma bar, “it is designed for social interaction – for fashionable, party-loving guests to feel like main characters in the show!”

Unique design features are highlighted by the eye-catching radiant walls. These walls are made with glass from recycled bottles and are coated with a special polyester resin, their luminosity created by the reflection of special effects lighting.

In contrast, luxuriously dark-toned furniture and furnishings create a warm, intimate party atmosphere.

Emmanuel Diaz of Gotha Club in Cannes, France, will be the resident DJ spinning at zuma’s new Bar when this hot nightspot re-opens its doors. Diaz’s style of spinning Deep House, House, and Nu Disco is the perfect combination for zuma, kicking back with relaxing rhythms early on in the night, transitioning to more upbeat tunes later on in the evening, all balanced with the ambience of the zuma crowd. With experience spinning with top celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell and Kanye West, Diaz’s move to zuma Hong Kong will bring the vibrant party scene of Cannes right into The Landmark’s hotspot.

The new zuma Bar will also be offering an exciting selection of new cocktails. The unusual “Aged Fig Rob Roy”is an ageing cocktail served in a bottle, where the complex yet smooth ingredients are set to oxidize the same way as a bottle of wine. Also recommended is the “Tokyo Rose”, a classic Negroni inspired by rose-scented perfumes, blending ingredients including a rose-infused Tanqueray Gin, Campari, and Martini Rosso. The “Smoked Japanese Whiskey Sour”cocktail will add a classic twist to the new zuma Bar with its intriguing smoky flavour.
