After A massive sold out show in 2016, 92.5FM and Empire Touring are thrilled to announce,, the third GOLD FM LIVE concert event for Gold Coast audiences year youll once again be transported to Oz Rock heaven with a blockbuster lineup, delivering your favourite superstar acts from the 70s, 80s and 90s for one night only at The Star Gold Coast on Saturday 7th April, 2018.

GOLD FM LIVE will be three hours, full of hits & performances from ten of Australias most wellloved 70s, 80s and 90s actsGOLD FM LIVE saw its first incarnation in Sydney in 2014 as the PURE GOLD LIVE concert series. PURE GOLD LIVE was an overwhelming success selling out well in advance and inciting a whole lot of reminiscing and more than a few all in singalongs from the enthusiastic crowdThe event was so successful, that it rolled out across the country in 2015 and since then, this series of concerts has now established itself as one of the most popular and successful live shows in the country.

92.5 Gold FM are thrilled to once again, be presenting GOLD FM LIVE hosted by 92.5 Gold FM Breakfasts AJ, Bridge & Spida.

Bridge said I conceived this idea when I wanted to bring back the iconic Playroom for one night only, so Gold FM Live was born! Lets bring all these iconic acts together for one kick arse showcase! It truly is a feast for the soul!

Now Listen! Mr Eagle Rock, ROSS WILSON, 2 time ARIA Hall of Fame Inductee, founder of Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock continues to have a Hell Of A Time while Living In The Land Of Oz. Always believing Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, the Skyhooks and Jo Jo Zep producer hasn’t stagnated by Living In the 70’s, but continued moving like The Fugitive Kind through the Summer of 81 into the 21st Century following his credo All I Wanna Do Is Rock. When the Chemistry is right to Come Back Again, he’ll get up off his Bed Of Nails, bring A Touch of Paradise to your Cool World and examine your State of the Heart. With No Time to lose practicing Primitive Love Rites in Primal Park, Things Are Hotting Up with Wilson’s song I Come In Peace being covered and becoming Joe Cockers last hit single.  Come Said The Boy, to a Ross Wilson show in a venue near you, because we all know You’ve All Got To Go!

Known for enduring hits such as That’s When I Think of You, Compulsory Hero, ‘To Love Me, Scars, Don’t Forget Me, and, of course, If I Could, 1927 made a devastating entry into the ears of its listeners with the Quintuple Platinum selling album ish in 1988, which earned the band a slew of ARIA Awards as well as a lot of fans along the wayFollowing up ish with the multiplatinum second album The Otherside, a selftitled third album, and countless live shows at home and abroad, the last couple of decades have certainly earned 1927 legendary statusNot content to rest on their laurels, after more than ten years, 1927 released a new studio album Generation i last yearIt may just be the bands finest album yet.

Originally formed for a one off show in 1986, THE CHANTOOZIES amassed quite the following and went on to tour Australia extensively. They achieved great success with their original material Wanna Be Up, Kiss And Tell, Walk On and covers of Witch Queen, Hes Gonna Step on You, Love the One Youre With and Ill Be There; all top 20 hits reaching platinum and gold sales. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s they shared the stage with many of Australia’s biggest acts and supported international act Billy Joel for an Australia wide 38 show tour. After taking time out to pursue their individual careers the girls reunited for ‘The 25 years of Mushroom Music’ in 1998, the ‘Countdown Spectacular’ tour in 2006  and again in 2012 when they supported Rick Astley on his Australian tour. THE CHANTOOZIES released their first new recording in 23 years in 2014, a cover of the Promises hit Baby It’s You.

Featuring Grace Knight on vocals and Bernie Lynch on guitar and vocals, EUROGLIDERS took the charts by storm in the 1980sAudiences were blown away, and Grace Knight captivated fans with her manic ballerinastage persona. In 1984, EUROGLIDERS released their album This Island, which spawned their No. 2 hit single, Heaven (Must Be There). Heaven also peaked at No. 21 on the United States Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and appeared on the Hot 100. Another Australian top ten album, Absolutely, followed in 1985, which provided three further top ten singles, We Will Together, The City of Soul and Cant Wait to See YouGrace and Bernie, along with their superb band, have reunited to once again captivate audiences with their sophisticated and highenergy brand of pop.

WA WA NEE broke the Australian tradition of pub rock in the mid-’80s with a combination of expertly packaged funkpop, designed for a mass audienceWA WA NEEs ascent of the Australian charts began with the April 1986 release of the single Stimulation, which peaked nationally at No. 2 on the Singles ChartThree further singles also made the Australian Top 20 and their selftitled debut album yielded platinum sales of over 70,000 and a Top 30 hit in the US with Sugar FreeSadly the band called it quits in 1988 though founding member, Paul Gray, has continued working as an indemand writer, producer and musician between reformation shows.

If that chorus from the MISEX hit isnt familiar to you then you didnt live through the early 80sThis international hit single preceded the glut of similarsounding British chart entrants by a year or more and is one of the defining poprock songs of the Australasian musicscape. It ascended to #1 on the Australian charts in November 79 and hit the top five in New ZealandBy April 1980 Computer Games had charted in more than 20 countries, and had peaked inside the top ten in Canada, France, Austria, Italy, West Germany and South Africa. Lead singer, Steve Gilpins unfortunate death in 1992 forced MISEX underground for 20 years and the simple acceptance of an invitation by Steve Balbi to front MISEX at a private party and the Christchurch Quake Relief Concert to confirm the right chemistry that would once again ignite their passion for live performanceand we couldnt be happier.

REAL LIFE formed in Melbourne during the early 80sAfter working six nights a week, building a local following for a couple of years, they released their first record Send Me An Angel, from their first album, HeartlandThe song was a big hit in most parts of the worldOther singles from that album were Openhearted, Catch Me Im Falling and AlwaysREAL LIFE released their second and final album with the original line-up in 1985 titled Flame, which spawned some hits including Face To Face.

WENDY MATTHEWS is without doubt one of Australia’s most respected vocalists. Originally from Canada, Wendy Matthews was part of two of Australia’s most successful bands, Models and Absent Friends, taking lead vocals on the smash hit, Nobody but You, before embarking on a successful solo career.  In the 90s Wendy released a slew of Top 20 singles including Token Angels, Let’s Kiss (Like Angels Do), The Day You Went Away and Friday’s Child  and Top 20 albums: You’ve Always Got the Blues (with Kate Ceberano), ÉmigréLilyThe Witness Tree and her compilation, Stepping Stones.  Matthews appeared on three series of It Takes Two (20062008) and in 2014 released The Welcome Fire, her first originals album in 12 years, with songs cowritten by Josh Pyke, Megan Washington, Mark Sholtez and many more.

Mark Gable lead singer of the Choirboys released their debut album Big Bad Noise in 1988.Which include the legendary No 1 pub rock anthem Run To Paradise a song that has been played relentlessly by radio stations since its release. Seven studio albums followed and most recently Choirboys released their first Live Album top resounding critical acclaim. Mark is renowned as one of Australia’s great frontmen, he is without doubt one our great Rock Icons.

John ‘SWANEE’ Swan is a blue blood of the Australian rock scene. In 1978 he released his first album ‘Into the Night’ but his first major chart success was a rendition of Tim Hardin’s If I Were a Carpenter from the album ‘This Time It’s Different’. Success with the next two singles from the album immediately followed. Lady Whats Your Name and Temporary Heartache both screamed up the chartsSWANEE played all over the country, winning new fans wherever he went. He built a reputation as one of the best and most respected rock n roll singers in the country.  Along came the Party Boys self-titled album which went number one in 3 weeks due to the success of the number one single Hes Gonna Step On You Again and top 10 hits Hold Your Head Up and GloriaSWANEE is a classic Australian rock artist with a bluesy feel and a voice that never disappoints much to the delight of his loyal fans Australia-wide.
