Take your kids on a fun tourist trail around Sydney and learn about the history, culture and architecture of their city. Kids travel for just $5 and you can hop on and off and explore at your leisure. Show the kids all the famous landmarks such as the Opera House Sails and Luna Park.

03 Meet the kangaroos | WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo
Did you know you can encounter native wildlife right in Darling Harbour? Bring the kids to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo to see all kinds of animals, but especially the four new sister kangaroos in the Kangaroo Walkabout precinct. The little kangaroos are ready to welcome guests for pats and selfies!

04 TikTok Challenge | Madame Tussauds
Madame Tussauds has come up with a cool interactive exhibition for tweens to teens this school holidays. They’ve collaborated with some of Sydney’s coolest influencers who have set six TikTok challenges throughout various zones in Madame Tussauds. Visit @TussaudsSydney then head into Madame Tussauds’ TikTok playground to recreate or duet the challenges.

05 Whale Watching | Captain Cook Cruises
Take the kids to see humpback whales splash in the ocean with Captain Cook Cruises until the end of October. A family-friendly option is the morning cruise (10am – 1pm) with expert commentary and comfy indoor and outdoor seating. Don’t see a whale? You’ll cruise with Captain Cook again for free!

06 See inBLOOM | Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
Immerse yourself in a whimsical world of light, colour and fragrant flowers at the inBLOOM exhibit at the Royal Botanic Garden. The new botanical exhibition boasts more than 20,000 blooms. Take along a picnic basket and soak up the serenity of the sprawling broader gardens overlooking the harbour.

07 Get arty | MCA
Take the Museum of Contemporary Art home with the brand new Kids Art Parcel. It’s inspired by artworks in the museum and is packed with colourful, age-specific activities and materials. There’s a parcel for mini art lovers (ages 4–7) or for art-loving tweens (ages 8–12 years).

08 Mini Mariners | Maritime Museum
The Maritime Museum has some engaging and educational events and exhibitions for all ages. For ages 8-14, sign up to one of the creative workshops such as Reporting Live in the Wild or Claymations. For littlies, take them on the Kids Activity Trail with a Pirate’s treasure map.

09 Carnival Time | Luna Park
Luna Park is open every day of the school holidays for one of two session times: 10am-2pm or 3-7pm. Soak up the carnival atmosphere, tackle thrilling rides such as the Wild Mouse, Volare or the Ferris Wheel, then take a break for snacks and a look around Sideshow Alley.

10 Kids High Tea | The Langham
Have fun dressing up and playing tea parties at Afternoon Tea On Kent. Inside a grand space your children will enjoy sweet treats and savoury delicacies and marvel at the chocolate fountain, ice-cream station and the macaron tower. Bookings, 11am – 5pm Monday to Sunday.

11 Private Cruise on the Harbour | Sydney Harbour Boat Tours
