1.Dubai Shopping Festival

The Dubai Shopping Festival is back this year and bigger than ever. It is the world’s longest-running shopping festival of its type. If the chance to win a car, cash or 32kg of gold is not a big enough drawcard, the festival supports local talent through their Market Outside the Box (MOTB) pop up! Over 700 brands and 3,200 outlets across the golden city are taking part in up to 90% sales this year. Even Emirates is on board, allowing visitors to the festival an additional 10 kilograms baggage allowance on return flights. Every weekend throughout the duration of the festival, the sky will light up with sparklers, with huge firework displays across locations, including Global Village, The Beach at JBR and Dubai Creek. The festival runs from 26 December 2018 until the 2 February 2019, making it the perfect opportunity to bag some bargains before sending the kids back to school!

2. Thailand Grand Sale

Extending over a period of two months, Thailand Grand Sale is the shopping festival that you cannot afford to miss. Not only are there sales on clothes, jewellery, electronics and handcrafts, but the prizes to be won are reason enough to extend your holiday. Prizes in the past have ranged from month-long first class holidays to smartphones. The festival runs from mid-June to mid-August, a low season for Thailand, meaning travel to and from the country are also a bargain!

3. Istanbul Shopping Fest
What better way to spend the July holiday break than amongst the shopping, culture and entertainment that is the Istanbul Shopping Fest. Renowned for its spice markets, antiques and trinkets, the festival is the ideal venture to ensure a bit of culture is brought home. Trading 24 hours a day, for 40 days, the festival continues the celebrations past the actual festival, through concerts, competitions, art and design workshops, and fashion shows throughout the city. The historic sites even get involved, staying open hours later to ensure you get the whole cultural experience. Start planning for July now!

4. The Great Singapore Sale
If you are looking for that shop til you drop experience, The Great Singapore Sale is for you. To ensure you make the most of your shopping experiences, the festival provides a massage area, as well as, entertainment ranging from well-known celebrity DJs, dance classes, exercise routines, and meet and greets for the kids. Picture this, dropping the kids at a Dora the Explorer Meet and Greet, while you hit the shops, it is a win-win! The festival typically runs between June and August.

5.Korea Grand Sale
For the trip you didn’t know you needed, head to Korea for the Korea Grand Sale. The 43 day (17 January to 28 February) shopping festival has been designed to offer something for everyone. Not only are there crazy bargains, but travel and accommodation are heavily reduced, making it the holiday you cannot resist. 2019 will celebrate the theme ‘Korea’s taste’, with events including cooking classes and grand tastings. To please the youth in the family, experience some culture with a K-Pop concert!
