Spread the love

Nestled away in a protected bay and surrounded by turquoise azure blue waters, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is the ideal location to celebrate any special occasion – romance or just that family time together.  The Resort’s culinary team is delighted to present an exclusive alfresco romantic dinner experience this Valentine’s Day at signature restaurant Navo’s green lawns to celebrate the season of love.

“As day descends to night on the 14th of February, our Navo Restaurant lawns will be set up with intimate table seating, live jazz band entertainment and delicate festoon lighting to create a mood of romance to complement the evening,” says Craig Wood, Director of Dining & Entertainment at the Resort.

Couples can toast to the evening with a glass of champagne and enjoy the sublime seafood delicacies the team of chefs curated with a special presentation, and enjoy the natural ambience of the rustling palm leaves from swaying palm trees and the Pacific Ocean just footsteps from the table.

“It is a pleasure to be able to work with my experienced team to put together this Valentine’s Day dinner experience.  The access we have to fresh local ingredients is unbelievable and we hope to showcase our abilities in this menu by elevating Fiji’s humble ingredients to a new level with modern techniques and flair; letting the flavour profiles come through on your palate,” adds David Bell, Executive Chef at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa.

Navo Restaurant, named after the sacred Navo Island in Natadola Bay, is well reputed for its flawless service and serene atmosphere. Recipes include sea grapes (Nama) from neighbouring Sanasana village, vegetables, fruits and herbs grown by local farmers in Sigatoka, the “Salad Bowl of Fiji”, prawns from Navua, pork from Vuda, and chocolate from Savusavu. Accompanying wines will satisfy any discerning connoisseur and can be selected from Navo’s temperature controlled wine displays to complete Fiji’s ultimate dining experience.

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is part of the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) with over 5,000 properties and 744,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries.  Overlooking the azure waters of Natadola Beach – voted by CNN as one of the best beaches in the world, and Fiji’s finest beach, the resort is spread across 35 acres of tropical manicured gardens and offers all of the facilities and services expected of a luxury international resort.
